Child: Follow Hopkins to Leah's Farm.

Rachel: Chicken. This is the sign for chicken. Make the sign for bird and then you peck at the ground. Chicken.

Child: Sign "bird", then peck the ground.

Child: Bawk, bawk, bawk.

Child: Let's sign chicken.

Child: Chicken.

Horse: (whinnys)

Child: Horse.

Rachel: Horse. Make your two fingers flap like a horse's ear. It's also an H for horse. Horse.

Child: Horse.

Child: Wave his ear.

Child: Neigh.

Child: The horse is eating.

Goat: (bleats)

Child: Goat.

Rachel: Goat. Show the goat’s chin hair and its horns. Goat!

Rachel: Mouse! Take your pointer and brush the end of your nose, showing the mouse’s little nose. Mouse!

Child: They're signing mouse.

Child: Sign mouse with Rachel.

Child: Mouse.

(Night becomes day in the bedroom, and then the rooster crows 4 times to wake Alex & Leah up.)

Rooster: (crows three times)

Alex: Leah.

Child: Rooster.

Rooster: (crows)

Rachel: Rooster! Make a 3 and put your thumb on your forehead! Looks just like a rooster’s comb. Rooster!

Child: Rooster.

Child: Wow! Rooster.

Child: Make a 3 on your forehead for rooster.

Rooster: (crows)

Child: Rooster.

Child: Oh, Hopkins.

Sheep: (bleats)

Child: He sheared the sheep.

Rachel: Sheep! Take your two fingers and move it up your arm like you are shearing sheep. Sheep!

Child: Sheep.

Child: Sheep.

Child: Shear the sheep.

Sheep: (bleats two times)

Child: Sheep.

Child: Sign sheep.

Child: Sheep.

Cow: (moos)

(cowbell clanking.)

Child: Cow.

Rachel: Cow! Make a Y and put it up on the side of your forehead like a cow’s little horn. Can you sign cow?

Child: Cow.

Child: That's a big cow.

Cow: (moos)

Child: It's the cow's little horn.

Child: Sign cow.

Child: Cow.

Donkey: (brays)

Child: Donkey.

Rachel: Donkey! Put your thumb on the side of your forehead and wave your whole hand like a donkey’s ear. Donkey!

Child: Donkey.

Child: I like the donkey.

Child: Hee-haw, hee-haw.

Child: She can sign donkey.

Child: Sign donkey.

Child: Donkey.

Pig: (snorts)

Child: Pig.

Rachel: Pig! Put your hand under your chin and wave it like food dripping off a pig’s chin. Pig!

Child: Pig.

Child: Oink, oink.

Child: Show food on the pig's chin.

Child: Oink, oink.

Child: Sign pig with us.

Child: Pig.

Turkey: (gobbles)

Child: Turkey.

Rachel: Turkey! Take your thumb and pointer at your chin, pointing down like the turkey’s waddle. Turkey!

Child: Turkey.

Child: I see a turkey.

Child: Turkey's waddle.

Child: Turkeys.

Child: Gobble, gobble, gobble.

Child: Help Rachel sign turkey.

Child: Turkey.

Child: Pet.

Rachel: Pet! Just like you are petting an animal. Pet!

Child: Pet.

Child: It's like you're petting a pet.

Child: Pet.

Child: Squirrel.

Rachel: Here’s the sign for squirrel! It’s like a squirrel’s little teeth munching a nut. Squirrel!

Child: Squirrel.

Child: Like he's munching on a nut.

Child: Squirrel.

Child: Sign those little teeth.

Child: Duck.

Rachel: Duck! It’s just like bird but with two fingers to show the duck’s bill. Duck!

Child: Duck.

Child: Make the duck's bill.

Child: Rabbit.

Rachel: Rabbit. Cross your arms and show the rabbit’s ears with your two fingers. Rabbit! Or you might see it signed like this. Rabbit!

Child: Rabbit.

Child: Show the rabbit ears.

Child: She can sign rabbit.

Child: Sign rabbit.

Child: Rabbit.

Child: Snail.

Rachel: Snail! Show the snail slowly moving along your hand. Snail! Or show the snail and here’s his shell. Snail!

Child: Snail.

Child: Slowly crawling along

Child: That's a lot of snails.

Child: Sign snail.

Child: Snail.

Child: Frog.

Rachel: Frog. Your fingers jump out like a frog jumping. Frog.

Child: Frog.

Child: Ribbit, ribbit.

Child: Make your fingers pop out.

Child: Frog.

Child: Sign frog.

Child: Frog.

Child: Snake.

Rachel: Snake! Your two fingers move out like a snake’s tongue. Ooooo snake.

Child: Snake.

Child: Snake.

Child: Show the snake's forked tongue.

Child: Can you sign snake?

Child: Snake.

Child: Lizard.

Rachel: Lizard! Make an L for lizard and run it up your arm. Lizard!

Child: That's a cool lizard.

Child: Lizard.

Child: It scampers up your arm.

Child: Lizard.

Child: Let's sign lizard.

Child: Lizard.

Child: Turtle.

Rachel: Turtle! Your thumb is the turtle’s head and your other hand is the shell. Now make his head nod. Turtle!

Child: Turtle.
